Experience
When I was in high school, I started to see the world from a more scientific view. This was due to the interest that I found in Biology. I attended Wayne State University, where I received a degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. I was able to attend the university because of a scholarship that I was awarded; however, I still needed to work to earn money. I earned money by tutoring the course that I had previously taken. Not only did I tutor students, but I also ran open and less structured classroom Q&A sessions to assist students in their learning. Furthermore, I also have experience in the research laboratory, earning this through an undergrad fellowship. This allowed me to explore Physiology at the School of Medicine. Thereafter, I attended University of Wisconsin, Madison to study Toxicology. While at UW, I had to decide between pursuing a future in research, or pursuing a future in teaching. Since I prefer teaching to research, that is the route that I have chosen. I sincerely enjoy sharing my passion and knowledge of Chemistry and Biology in an easy to understand setting. I enjoy board games, art, cats, and nature during my free time.
